COVID-19 Pharmacy Policies

In this unprecedented time, Folsom Medical Pharmacy is making every effort to prevent the spread of disease. Moving forward, we are no longer providing in-store pick up, and shipping every order to your preferred address.
If you cannot have your medications shipped for whatever reason, we can provide curbside pick up. Curbside pick up must be previously arranged with the staff.

This preventative measure is to protect our staff and our patients. This reduces the number of people our staff needs to come in physical contact with, and protects our most vulnerable patients and loved ones.

Our pharmacists will provide consultations via video chat or phone call. You can schedule your consultation here: Consultations.

After you receive your email confirmation, please respond to the email notifying us if you want a video consultation, or a regular phone call.

Many of our patients are hoping to boost their immune system. If you'd like some guidance on what can help, and what what's just social media hype, read our pharmacist's recommendations:

Please follow all recommendations to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This includes washing your hands with soap and water for at least twenty seconds, especially after sneezing or coughing. Our pharmacy staff wash their hands at least once an hour with warm and soapy water. Do not shake hands, and minimize touching your face. A new study shows that the virus which causes COVID-19 can live up to 24 hours on cardboard, and up to three days on plastic or stainless steel.[1] After coming in contact with new surfaces, be sure to wash your hands. If you cannot immediately wash your hands, using hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol is recommended.

Wash your hands for at least twenty seconds with soap.

Specific to Sacramento county and other parts of Northern California, all residents are ordered to shelter in place, and only leave home when necessary. Additionally, individuals over 65 years old and who are immunocompromised have been ordered to stay at home, and minimize contact with people outside of their household.(2)

If you experience any COVID-19 symptoms, call your doctor right away. Symptoms include fever, cough, runny nose, a sore throat, and difficulty breathing in severe cases.

We appreciate your patience and understanding in this tumultuous time. Our pharmacists are here to answer your questions.
